MOLINE ACRES: City installs red-light camera system at 367 intersection
Motorists, beware: red-light cameras have been installed at the intersection of Highway 367 and Northumberland Drive in Moline Acres.
Police say offenders will receive warnings for the next 29 days. After that, they will receive regular
tickets.
The cameras were installed Wednesday.
Moline Acres is one of an increasing number of local municipalities installing the camera systems. American Traffic Solutions runs the systems in exchange for a percentage of the fines collected.
After performing a study, ATS decided the best place for the cameras was at Lewis and Clark and
Northumberland. The city also considered installing cameras at Monarch Drive and Chambers Road.
