(Scottsdale, AZ, April 22, 2008) North Miami, Florida has signed a contract making American Traffic Solutions its first-ever vendor for the city’s traffic safety camera program. All the systems will be equipped with ATS’ latest ultra high resolution digital cameras.
According to City of North Miami Mayor Kevin Burns, “Red-light cameras will help make North Miami streets safer as drivers modify their driving behavior to reduce the preventable crashes and injuries caused by red-light running. ATS’ depth of experience, advanced technology, and enforcement tools made them the perfect partner for our City.”
The City of North Miami is the eleventh Florida jurisdiction where ATS has been chosen to provide photo safety enforcement programs with the company’s advanced photo traffic safety and enforcement technology. In Florida, ATS already serves, is contracted, or has been selected by Apopka, Aventura, Florida City, Miami Gardens, Orange County, Palm Coast, Pembroke Pines, Port Richey, Satellite Beach and Temple Terrace.
In addition, ATS’ PlatePass®, an automated, non-stop payment service, is now available on every Hertz, Avis and Budget rental car. PlatePass® allows rental car customers to use Florida’s SunPass Only and E-Pass non-stop, high speed cashless toll lanes without the hassle of paying tolls manually.
