Drivers, take note: Red-light cameras are being installed at two intersections in St. Ann.
Workers with American Traffic Solutions (ATS) Tuesday afternoon finished installing the first set of cameras at the St. Charles Rock Road-St. Gregory Lane intersection.
The other cameras will be installed at the intersection of St. Charles Rock Road and Adie Road.
St. Ann several months ago joined the growing list of St. Louis County municipalities opting to use red-light cameras.
ATS runs the systems in exchange for a percentage of the fines collected.
Assistant to the Mayor Matt Conley said it’s unclear exactly when all the cameras will be in place and when they will become operational. However, when they do start taking pictures of vehicles running red lights, the public will be notified and given a grace period to become accustomed to the cameras, he said.
