ST. ANN: Red-light cameras about to go live

By Buck Collier

Motorists traveling through St. Ann are being reminded that red-light cameras at two busy intersections are about to go online.

The grace periods for the cameras at St. Charles Rock Road and Adie Road and St. Charles Rock Road and St. Gregory Lane will cease by the end of the month, according to city officials.

At the St. Gregory intersection, the cameras will begin snapping photos of red-light violators on May 22. For drivers going through the Adie Road intersection, the grace period ends May 31.

St. Ann late last year joined several St. Louis County municipalities opting to use red-light cameras. The city contracted with American Traffic Solutions, a leading provider of the service. The company will operate the system and receive a portion of the fines generated through tickets issued to motorists who run red lights.
